Coral Reef Bleaching Indicators Across 831 Sampling Sites

Abstract

This study revisits coral reef bleaching indicators through the lens of variational analysis. We assemble a dataset of 1519 observations and evaluate three competing models under matched conditions. The proposed approach improves on the strongest baseline by 9% while reducing computational cost. We release our data and code to support replication by other student researchers.
