Abstract

Despite sustained attention from the research community, coral reef bleaching indicators remains difficult to study outside well-funded laboratories. Using equipment available in most teaching laboratories, we replicate and extend prior findings across 4851 experimental runs. Our measurements agree with theoretical predictions to within 12%, resolving an open discrepancy in the literature. We release our data and code to support replication by other student researchers.
