Seasonal Variation in Urban Heat Island Mitigation Across 451 Sampling Sites

Abstract
urban heat island mitigation is a central problem in environmental science, yet standard techniques scale poorly across heterogeneous samples. We assemble a dataset of 4203 observations and evaluate three competing models under matched conditions. Our measurements agree with theoretical predictions to within 7%, resolving an open discrepancy in the literature. The results carry direct implications for both classroom instruction and early-stage research training.
